An EFPTA Board meeting and workshop was held in Brussels on 1-2 April 2011, at the headquarters of the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA), near the Grand Place (pictured). The retiring President, Dr Hans Reijnierse (Netherlands), was thanked for his work in developing EFPTA during the last two years, and was presented with a gift as a token of the Board's appreciation.
Renate Schrempf (Germany) was elected as our new President, with Dorothy Coombs (England) as Vice-President.
All ongoing activities were discussed at the meeting, and the next Board meeting was planned for 30 September – 1 October 2011, again in Brussels. The spring 2012 event was planned as a major conference to be held 20-21 April in Copenhagen. The re-designed website was launched, and a focus group discussion was held on the topic of teacher-training for psychology teachers, as part of the Stage 2 research project (see research page )
